Santa Barbara’s boys volleyball seniors proved their worth on Thursday night, as the Dons topped Buena in a Senior Night 25-14, 25-19, 25-19.
All seniors took the floor for Santa Barbara, except for sophmore setter Ryan Worley.
“Our seniors stepped up and showed their leadership,” Santa Barbara coach Chad Arneson said. “We were also able to rest some starters, which helps.”
Outside hitter Mark Outwater led Santa Barbara with 12 kills, and Kyle Aronson had 6 kills with 2 aces and two blocks.
John Haslem collected six digs for the Dons, and middle blocker Hunter Myers had a strong performance, said Arneson.
Santa Barbara earned a one-sided win, coming off a hectic eight-game stretch in 10 days.
“We’ve had a busy couple of weeks and were running out of gas, but we still played well,” said Arenson.
Santa Barbara is undefeated in Channel League at 5-0, and moves to 15-7 overall.
The Dons face San Marcos on Tuesday and Dos Pueblos the following Thursday.
