Dos Pueblos was blitzed by veteran Westlake team, 25-19, 25-13, 25-14, in a non-league boys volleyball match Monday at Sovine Gym.
“We saw some good volleyball tonight and it wasn’t by us,” DP coach Chris Hughes said. “Westlake is the real deal. They’re starting three-year starters, and they have a good chance to win CIF this year.”
Westlake used its powerful serving to disrupt the Chargers’ offense.
“I was happy we competed,” Hughes said. “We couldn’t handle their serves.”
Jay Larinan and Gabe Burdick each had three kills for the Chargers (2-1), who play at Oxnard on Wednesday.
