Carpinteria’s golf team earned its first win on Thursday, beating Santa Paula 462-595 at Montecito Country Club.
Led by senior Ian Craddock, the Warriors overcame poor weather conditions by finishing with one of their best scores in recent years.
“This was the worst weather we’ve played in two years,” said Carpinteria Coach Steve Benzin. “I’m proud as can be. This was the best score since I took over as coach.”
Craddock led the Warriors with a score of 89, while Alex Warner pitched in with a 90. Other Warriors include Matt Vincent (91) Joey Biro (94), Jeffrey Moorhouse (98), and Justin Sinclair (104).
