Tebbe Era of SBHS tennis opens with a victory

Santa Barbara made Greg Tebbe a winner in his debut as the boys tennis coach, beating Cate 16-2 on Tuesday.

“It was a great team effort,” Tebbe said. “Our guys played with great energy and focus the entire match. Cate is strong in singles. I’m proud of our singles, they played really well.”

The Dons lost only one singles set.

Tebbe lauded the play of freshmen Morgan Hale (2-0 in singles), Ryan Chung (2-0 in doubles). Jack Damen (2-0 in doubles) and Patrick Kim (1-0 in doubles).
