Thayer White shot a 1-over 71, but San Marcos dropped a Channel League match to Ventura, 377-392, on Tuesday at Buenaventura Golf Course.
“We played hard but it just wasn’t good enough,” said San Marcos coach David Siordia. “We are very young at San Marcos and the golf season is very short, so it’s not a good combination. But I feel like we are getting better each time we play. We had three freshman play and we had Joey Mazziotta fire a 77, so that was very promising.”
