San Marcos High swept visiting Bishop Diego 25-15, 25-16, 25-11 on Saturday at the Thunderhut to earn its first boys volleyball win. The Royals are 1-1.
Johnny Brand paced the Cardinals (0-1) with 11 kills and four digs. Robert Connolly had six kills, seven digs and did a great job passing, according to assistant coach Blake Dorfman.
Bishop Diego will host Santa Ynez on Wednesday.
