Munoz, Prophet lead Frontier’s All-League picks

Bishop Diego’s Elias Muñoz and Dean Prophet have been given the Frontier League’s top postseason distinctions, garnering the Most Valuable Player and Coach of the Year awards for leading the Cardinals to the league title.

The Cardinals won the Frontier League with a 9-1 record. Bishop Diego reached the CIF Southern Section finals in Division VI-AA and went on to compete in the State Tournament. The Cardinals finished with a 22-9 record.

Santa Paula’s Eduardo Jimenez was named co-MVP alongside Muñoz. Santa Paula finished second in the league standings.

Bishop’s Noah Tack and Ben Kwock were given First Team recognition, as was Carpinteria’s Myles Menegon.

On the second team, Bishop Diego added Paul Garcia and Noah Tisdale.

Carpinteria, which finished tied for third with Villanova, placed Trevor Madden and Paul Aguilar on the second team and Andrew Sova, Tommy Arrellano and Eric Trujillo on the third team.

Reese Moulton and Johnny Diaz made the third team for the Cardinals.
