Junior Hannah Harris tossed a pair of three-hitters and pounded out four hits on Saturday, leading Dos Pueblos High to a pair of season-opening wins at the Susan Manlet Tournament.
Harris struck out nine and didn’t walk a batter in a 1-0 win over Westlake at Simi Valley High. The Chargers used a last-inning rally to edge Paso Robles 2-1 in their second game. Harris was 2-3 at the plate in each game.
Tied 1-1 going into the last of the sixth, Jordan Roberts walked and stole second. With one out, Agnetta Cleland delivered a walk-off RBI single to left. The nightcap was called after six innings because of the time limit.
In the opener, DP scored the game’s only run in the fourth when Marisa Radeke singled, went to second on a walk and stole third. Amber Altavilla brought Radeke home with a one-out sacrifice fly.
Dos Pueblos will open Channel League play on Thursday at Ventura.

sounds like a pretty boring way to spend the afternoon. hopefully the sun was out.
There were a couple of girls who played in a real high school baseball game yesterday between San Marcos and Birmingham? Now that would have been something to watch. Softball games bring to mind beer bellied men in their 40’s playing at Cabrillo Field on a weeknight.
