Cabrillo capitalized on four Dos Pueblos errors in the fifth inning and scored two unearned runs to beat the Chargers 3-2 in a non-league softball game Wednesday at DP.
Dos Pueblos threatened in the seventh, putting a runner at third base with one out. But Cabrillo pitcher Nathalia Powell pitched out of the jam.
The Chargers took a 2-1 lead in the third inning on a two-run triple by Jordan Roberts.
Kiley Shea Aldridge went 2 for 3 with a double to lead Cabrillo.
Hannah Harris went 2-for-3 for DP, and she allowed four hits and no walks while striking out seven on the mound.
Powell gave up five hits.
