Santa Barbara High split a pair of softball games on Saturday, falling to Santa Ynez 21-4 and beating Santa Maria 8-7.
Carly Taylor homered twice for Santa Ynez in the first game, which was called after 3 1/2 innings due to the time limit.
Angela Biancone had a double in each game for the Dons (2-1).
In the second game, SBHS came back after giving up four unearned runs in the first. The Santa Ynez game was shortened to five innings by the time limit.
The Dons took an 8-6 lead with three runs in the fourth. Sheila Lopez tied it at 6-6 with an RBI single up the middle and Jasmyne Maya ran for her. Maya stole second and third, then scored on a groundout. The go-ahead run scored on a groundout by Arianna Leos.
Santa Barbara will host Bishop Diego on Tuesday and Carpinteria on Wednesday. Both games start at 3:30 p.m.
