Santa Barbara High’s boys volleyball team gained a couple of spots in this week’s CIF rankings were released Monday, climbing to No. 6 in Division I.
The Dons’ rise can be attributed to a solid seventh-place finish at the Best of the West Tournament in San Diego over the weekend. Santa Barbara won four straight matches before falling to Loyola and Corona del Mar.
Carpinteria and Dos Pueblos also experienced upward movement in the polls this week for their softball teams. The Chargers found themselves ranked (No. 8) in Division IV for the first time this season while the Warriors jumped from No. 9 to No. 5 in Division VI.
Santa Barbara High’s boys tennis team dropped in the second set of tennis polls this spring. The Dons are now No. 7 in Division I. Cate is also ranked, coming in at No. 4 in Division IV.
Santa Barbara High’s baseball team remains entrenched in the No. 2 position in Division II for the third-straight week.
