Laguna Blanca swept the doubles matches and beat St. Bonaventure 13-5 in a non-league boys tennis match on Wednesday.
The Owls were short a starter and lost their No. 1 singles player after the first round due to an injury.
“Our team needed a strong performance from doubles and we really got it,” said coach Trevor Thorpe. “I’m particularly excited about Chris Burke’s play today. He joined the team last year with two weeks of tennis under his belt and today he was a starter for the first time. He and Ian Carradine, who have never really played together, totally held the line at number three doubles.
Alex Greer-Justin Shand and Ben Furukawa-Eddie Conk also swept.
