Providence Hall’s two-game winning streak was snapped on Saturday, as Thacher nailed a 3-pointer late in the game to claim a 46-43 victory at Carpinteria High.
Sophomore point guard Lacey Gonzalez just missed a 20-10 game with 19 points and nine rebounds. Faith Emerson just missed a double-double, tallying nine points and 11 rebounds instead. Olivia Johnson led the team in rebounding with 14 and Olivia Barroca provided the big shot, connecting on a game-tying 3-pointer with 30 seconds to go.
The Lions (8-9) are seeking to even their record in their last regular season game on Friday against Cate.
