A shorthanded Laguna Blanca boys soccer team was no match for Camino Real League champion Bosco Tech, as the Owls were routed 10-0 in a CIF Division 7 first-round playoff game on Friday.
“We had only 13 players and we had an injury to one of our best players,” said Laguna Blanca coach Travis Mañach.
The team also had a couple of players battling the flu.
“We played more of our inexperienced players. It was a good experience for the younger guys. It’s not always easy to get (to the CIF playoffs),” said Mañach.
Laguna Blanca finished 5-13.
