Justin Hertlein and Kyle Benskin had nine kills each Wednesday night but it wasn’t enough for SBCC, which dropped a 3-0 men’s volleyball decision at Irvine Valley. The Vaqueros, playing their first match in 11 days, fell 25-23, 25-21, 25-16.
“We played pretty well but Irvine is a stellar team,” said assistant coach Eric Vincent. “They were excellent tonight.”
Benskin hit .615 and Kaahukane Leite-Ah Yo had two blocks for the Vaqueros (3-3).
SBCC travels to Huntington Beach on Friday to take on Golden West.
