Coach Chris Parrish was able to use several players as Dos Pueblos posted two lopsided wins on the first day of the Irvine SoCal Girls Water Polo Championships on Thursday in Irvine.
The Chargers opened with a 16-2 rout of Capistrano Valley and followed with a 17-9 win against Long Beach Wilson.
“We were able to rest a lot of girls today,” Parrish said. “All of the starters played less than game.”
The two wins extend DP’s winning streak to 57 games. The Chargers are 22-0 this season.
Against Capo Valley, Parrish was able to pull his starters after an 8-0 first period. Kiley Neushul, Tiera Schroeder and Kodi Hill each scored two goals in the opening stanza.
Laurel Kistler and Shannon Cleary each scored three goals to lead DP in scoring and backup goalkeeper Britten Vilander had seven blocks.
The Neushul sisters put on a show against Long Beach Wilson. Jamie had seven goals and Kiley scored six.
