The Cate girls soccer team rounded out a perfect Condor League season with a 3-1 win over Thacher in Ojai on Wednesday.
“Though we clinched the league title with our Laguna win last Saturday, it is always nice to beat the Toads, especially on their own lily pad,” said Cate coach Lisa Holmes.
Brennan Cusack continued her scoring ways with two goals in the first half, giving her five goals in the last two games. The first goal came off her head on a corner kick from Annie Weis. On the second goal, Brennan slid a nice cross past the Thacher keeper and into the net.
Weis blasted a perfectly placed direct kick off the bottom of the cross bar for the third goal.
“Now we wait to see where our friends at the CIF office will place us in the Division 6 tournament,” said Holmes.
