Joshua Yaro turned in an impressive performance, and Cate completed undefeated regular season with a 6-0 win at Ojai Valley on Friday.
The win gave the Rams a 17-0 record going into the CIF playoffs. They are the No. 1-ranked team in Division 7.
Yaro, the team’s sweeper, recorded a hat trick and assisted on another goal.
Avery Schwartz and Jackson Mauze each had a goal and an assist, and Luke Shover collected an assist.
Freshman Leighton Brillo-Sonnino scored the 100th team goal of the season. The Rams outscored their opponents 101-5 and posted 13 shutouts.
“All in all, it was a nice team effort at every position,” said Cate coach David Mochel.
The playoff pairings will be posted on Monday, and Cate will likely host a first round game on Friday.
