AM 1290 broadcasting 45 Gaucho baseball games

A majority of UCSB baseball games will be broadcast online and on AM 1290 in Santa Barbara, bringing nearly every pitch of Gaucho baseball to fans this season.

Forty-five of the team’s 54 regular-season games will be broadcast, starting with the Gauchos’ season-opening series, Feb. 18-20 vs. LaSalle.

All 24 Big West Conference games will be aired live on AM 1290 KZSB in Santa Barbara, bringing fans all the action as the Gauchos aim to return to the postseason. These games will also be streamed live online at UCSBgauchos.com.

Twenty-one non-conference games – including the season-opener, every Tuesday game and the three-game series at Oregon State – will be broadcast online only at UCSBgauchos.com.

Gerry Fall, the voice of both the Gauchos’ men’s soccer and men’s basketball teams, leads a veteran broadcast group that includes Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Josh Suchon, who is the voice of UCSB women’s basketball, Assistant Athletics Director, Communications Bill Mahoney and UCSB baseball’s sports information director Matt Hurst. Veteran News-Press writer Mark Patton will join Fall during the conference season, as he does for the men’s basketball broadcasts.

The Gauchos open the season on Friday, Feb. 18 with a home series vs. LaSalle.
