Carpinteria suffered a frustrating 1-0 defeat against Villanova in a Frontier League girls soccer match on Thursday.
“We dominated the entire game,” Carpinteria coach Lucy Carleton said. “They took only two shots.”
The Warriors had 20 shots in the match.
“We worked their goalie but we couldn’t score,” lamented Carleton.
Villanova’s goal came off a rebound. Goalie Sally Lam stopped the first shot, but the ball bounced right to another Wildcat player, who knocked it in.
Carpinteria falls to 0-2 in league play.
