Three Lions do all the scoring for Providence

Three players combined to score all of Providence Hall’s points on Monday, bringing the Lions a 65-59 overtime victory at Trinity Classical.

JT Royston tallied a team-high 24 points, Erik Sheets had 23 and Nathan Dutcher added 18.

Providence Hall trailed by 11 points at the start of the fourth quarter before storming back. The Lions scored 32 points in the fourth quarter and overtime after scoring 33 the previous three quarters. Providence Hall was especially hot in the extra period, posting 14 points in five minutes.

Because of an injury, Micah Park was asked to make his first start and contributed on the boards while playing the entire game.

Providence ups its record to 7-6 on the season. The Lions travel to Cornerstone Christian on Wednesday and host their “Lions Fest” game on Saturday at Westmont at 5:30 p.m.
