Three San Marcos wrestlers recorded pins to help the Royals get past Santa Barbara 48-30 in a Channel League match on Tuesday night.
William Hughes, at 135 pounds, 160-pounder Francisco Ramirez and 215-pound Diego Gonzalez pinned their Santa Barbara opponents, as San Marcos evened its dual meet record in league at 1-1.
“It was a pretty close match,” San Marcos coach Ken Mishima said. “It could have gone either way. We lost two matches by one point.”
