Gabby Sandoval led the Royals with eight points while Amanda Schulenberg led the Owls with a game-high 12 points. Krysta Brown also reached double figures for Laguna with 10 points.
San Marcos spread its scoring around, as Judith Rodriguez added six points and Desiree Porter-Ray notched seven.
“They gave us a great run, Laguna is an excellent team,” said Royals head coach Kristyn Miller.
San Marcos (4-14) and Laguna Blanca play again on Friday night at Laguna.
