Santa Barbara made a furious comeback from a 20-point halftime deficit but fell short and dropped a 53-42 Channel League boys basketball game to Buena on Wednesday night
The Dons started slow and fell behind 28-8 at halftime. But they turned into a different team in the second half, forcing turnovers and scoring in transition to cut the lead to four points in the fourth quarter.
Buena, however, got back-to-back three-point plays to stave off the rally.
Caleb Hale scored 16 points and Brendan Fay added 13 for Santa Barbara.
