Andrew Vignolo poured in 17 points on Saturday for Laguna Blanca’s boys basketball team, which fell to 2-time defending CIF champion Besant Hill 62-48 in Merovick Gym.
Logan Elder did his part for the Owls racking up nine assists and scoring 12 points. Brandon Bickett tallied 10 points and JT Aubrey posted nine on three 3-point shots.
The Owls were trailing 29-18 at halftime.
Besant Hill’s Francois Tchoyi led all scorers with 19 points.
Laguna Blanca is now 4-4 in league and 7-7 overall.
