San Marcos’ Michael Orozco and Yaskin Solano faced each other in the third-place match at Saturday’s Arroyo Classic in El Monte, with Orozco getting the better of his teammate.
Orosco normally competes in the 160-pound division but didn’t make weight and found himself wrestling in the same bracket as a teammate.
Orozco won with a quick takedown and pin.
San Marcos faces a Channel League meet on Thursday against Ventura.
