Saturday’s ending to Providence Hall’s boys basketball game was great as long as you don’t have heart problems.
The Lions hung on to pocket a 59-58 victory over Hillcrest Christian as Hillcrest’s last-second shot at the buzzer fell off-target.
“It was a relief for sure,” said Lions head coach Keith Luberto, whose team had seen an 11-point 4th-quarter lead evaporate.
JT Royston kept Providence Hall in front with 10 of his game-high 26 points coming in the fourth quarter.
Nate Dutcher provided another scoring threat with 18 points.
Providence Hall (9-6) travels to West Valley Christian for its next game on Thursday.
