Justin Vom Steeg is in Guadalajara, Mexico as a member of the U.S. under-14 boys national soccer team.
Vom Steeg, the starting goalkeeper for the Olympic Development Program Region IV U-14 team, is one of four goalkeepers on the 36-player squad that will play a series of friendly matches against local youth club teams, including Atlas and Chivas of Guadalajara.
Justin plays for the Santa Barbara Soccer Club. He is the oldest son of UCSB men’s soccer coach Tim Vom Steeg.
The U-14 national team is coached by Manny Schellscheidt.
