Laguna Blanca forced several Laguna Blanca turnovers, which helped the Owls pull off a 44-28 girls basketball win on Wednesday.
“It was a pretty physical game,” Laguna Blanca coach Chris Foster said. “We played strong defense that led to a lot of transition baskets.”
He said the team had 14 steals.
Amanda Schulenberg led the Owls (4-8) with 19 points, while Natalie Nomura scored 14 and Krysta Brown added nine.
Faith Emerson scored 11 points and Olivia Johnson had seven points and 11 rebounds for Providence Hall (5-8).
“It was a little hard for our girls,” said Lions coach Ariana Gnekow about handling Laguna’s pressure. “Our point guard was sick today and we don’t have a backup.”
