Ventura’s perfect Channel League record was never in danger on Friday night, as the Cougars used a big first half to outpace Dos Pueblos 55-42.
Robert Cid recorded a game-high 15 points for Dos Pueblos, but it was Ventura who surged to a 37-20 halftime lead.
Dylan Houck led four Cougars in double digits with 14 points.
Ventura ups its record to 6-0 in league and 18-2 overall while the Chargers fall to 3-3, 10-8.
Jay Larinan posted 11 points and eight rebounds for Dos Pueblos. Christopher Williams tallied eight points.
Dos Pueblos moves on to a Monday matchup with Buena (4-2).
