Local teams didn’t fluctuate a whole lot in this week’s CIF polls released Monday. Strangely, no local team improved in ranking in any sport from last week.
The top-10 in Division-I girls water polo didn’t change a bit, with Dos Pueblos maintaining at No. 1 and Santa Barbara at No. 4.
Cate boys soccer is also still No. 1 in Division VII and has a matchup with No. 4 Thacher this week. Santa Barbara High is No. 3 in Division I.
Santa Barbara High and Bishop Diego retained their No. 4 rankings in their respective divisions for girls basketball. The Dons are No. 4 in Div. II-A while the Cardinals are the No. 4 team in Div. V-A. Dos Pueblos is No. 10 in II-A.
Three boys basketball teams hold rankings. Bishop Diego is highest at No. 5 in Div. VI-AA. San Marcos is No. 11 in Div. III-A and Carpinteria is No. 15 in Div. IV-A.
Dos Pueblos’ girls soccer team finds itself as the No. 8 team in Div. II for another week.
