Kelsey Stimson scored a career-high 26 points and Greer Shull drilled a 3-pointer to give Bishop Diego its first lead of the game in the fourth quarter in a 50-45 victory over St. Bonaventure.
Greer’s trey came during a 17-4 run between the third and fourth periods that rallied Bishop from a 27-20 deficit to a 37-31 lead.
The victory was especially gratifying for the Cardinals because St. Bonaventure beat them by 31 points earlier in the season.
Bishop coach Jeff Burich said Stimson’s 26 points were the most scored by one his players in his five years at the helm. She also had five rebounds and made three free throws down the stretch to ice the win.
