Elisa Bernardi scored two goals and had an assist to lead Bishop Diego to a 3-0 victory over Fillmore on Thursday in a Frontier League girls soccer match.
“It was a solid effort,” Bishop coach Brent Gonsalves said. “We did a much better job than we did against Carpinteria. We played to our potential and got some goals. I was much happier with the result.”
Bernardi assisted on Allison Carr’s goal in the 16th minute to get the Cardinals going. She scored in 28th and 48th minutes on assists from Jordan Price.
Bishop improves to 7-3-2 and 2-0 in league.
