Carpinteria High turned up its defensive pressure and shut down Providence Hall 46-18 in an opening game at the Jim Bashore Holiday Classic.
“They didn’t have a field goal in the first half; our defense came out and took them out of it,” said Warriors’ coach Johnny Ward.
Andrew Sova led the Warriors with 11 points and 18 rebounds, and Paul Aguilar added seven points. Trevor Madden played an all-around good game, said Ward
