Carpinteria’s girls soccer team gave up a goal in the first five minutes of Monday’s game against Channel Islands and couldn’t get it back, dropping the non-league decision 1-0.
Sally Lam recorded four saves in goal for the Warriors (0-4-1), who will be seeking their first win on Friday at Orcutt Academy.
Jasmine Montes de Oca and Louis Stanley produced a couple of opportunities in the Warrior attack but could not convert the equalizer.
“We just can’t find our offense,” said Warriors head coach Lucy Carleton.
