J.T. Royston bruised Orcutt Academy on Monday, scoring 26 points while pulling down 17 rebounds in a 54-45 victory for Providence Hall.
The Lions improved to 3-1 behind Royston, who’s averaging almost 24 points a game on the season. The Lions are 3-0 in games in which the senior has scored 20 or more.
Nate Dutcher knocked down a pair of critical 3-pointers in the final quarter to keep Providence Hall out of reach. Preston Towers collected 10 rebounds.
The Lions play again on Wednesday at Midland.
