San Marcos couldn’t take advantage of North Bakersfield’s foul problems and fell 51-33 in a consolation bracket game in the green division of the Tournament of Champions on Tuesday.
“We had trouble making free throws,” San Marcos coach Kristyn Miller said. “We were 12 of 28 from the free-throw line and that makes it tough.
“They were in foul trouble in both halves,” she added. “Unfortunately, we were unable to convert.”
Gabby Sandoval was the Royals’ leading scorer with seven points.
San Marcos plays Channel Islands on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
