San Marcos suffered its second straight 1-0 loss, dropping a non-league girls soccer decision at San Luis Obispo on Wednesday.
“It’s disappointing, but the girls are playing hard and making it very hard for teams to beat us,” said Royals coach Lloyd Biggs.
Goalkeeper Hannah Ball made some good saves in the run of play.
San Luis Obispo scored the winning goal on a penalty kick in the second half.
The Royal had a good look at a potential tying goal in the last five minutes but Jillian Hirsch’s header went over the bar.
The Royals fall to 2-4-3.
