After a fast start, the Laguna Blanca girls basketball team faltered and dropped a 44-37 decision to Thacher in a Condor League game on Wednesday.
“Mental mistakes beat us today,” said coach Chris Foster, whose team roared to an 11-2 lead. “I want to credit Thacher. They battled and they won the battle.”
Amanda Schulenberg led the Owls (2-4, 0-1) with 17 points and Natalie Nomura added 10.
