Kiley Neushul was in total command of Saturday’s girls water polo match between Dos Pueblos and Foothill, scoring nine goals to lead the Chargers to a 15-9 victory at Elings Aquatic Center.
Neushul, who didn’t get to play much in Friday night’s season-opener because of foul trouble, exploded for eight first-half goals to lead the Chargers to a 10-3 halftime lead. Neushul scored on 9-of-her-10 shots.
“She came out feisty,” said Chargers head coach Chris Parrish.
The victory marked the 38th straight for Dos Pueblos (2-0), dating back to February 2009.
Tiera Schroeder and Kodi Hill made their presences felt, especially on defense. The pair combined for nine steals, while Parrish noted Hill’s work at shutting down Foothill’s top 2-meter player. Hill also scored a goal and Schroeder added three assists.
