A goal off a free kick by Ricky Lopez ignited San Marcos to a 3-1 boys soccer win over Fillmore.
Lopez hit a low, hard curling shot from about 25 yards past a three-man wall and the outstretched hands of the keeper and found the far-left corner of the net to tie the score at 1-1.
Cody Howen drove home a tough 10-yard shot from the middle of the box for the go-ahead goal. Shahin Nabidavoodi, on an assist from Dillon Kraus, scored late from a tough angle about 10 yards to the right of the goal.
San Marcos improved to 4-5.
