Cate’s Kyler Jae and Spencer Shapiro lit up visiting Kilpatrick on Friday, leading the Rams to their frist victory of the season after a 62-53 decision.
Jae and Shapiro accounted for 15 of the Rams’ 22 first-half points and finished with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Wes Greason scored seven points with 10 assists and sophmore Kyle Mayfield added 10 points and six assists.
But it was Cate’s 26-point fourth quarter that decided the outcome, as the Rams entered the final period trailing by three.
It’s Cate’s first win in three tries so far this season, while Kilpatrick drops to 0-6.
