Brandie Harris wasn’t cooperative with Righetti on Monday, finding the back of the net in the 74th minute to give Dos Pueblos a 2-1 victory in Santa Maria.
Harris put away the break away goal off an assist from Rachel Smith and lifted the Chargers to a 4-1 record to start the season.
“Defensively it was the best game we’ve had so far,” said Chargers head coach Jose Guerrero.
Smith scored first for Dos Pueblos, which took a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute. Righetti drew even just after halftime.
The Chargers play two games later in the week starting on Thursday at Rio Mesa.
