Grace Brethren topped Providence Hall’s girls basketball team on Monday night, besting the Lions 42-33 in Cate School’s gym.
Lacey Gonzalez racked up 20 points for Providence Hall, which nearly doubled its offensive output from the previous game.
“She just played a phenomenal game as she always does,” said Lions assistant coach Laura Trudelle. “It’s a full effort from her everytime she’s on the court.”
Olivia Johnson and Hannah Park were also in the thick of things, drawing praise from their coach from making an impact.
Providence Hall (2-4) moves on to face San Marcos on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
