Dos Pueblos placed six wrestlers in the semifinals at the La Quinta Blackhawk Invitational on Wednesday.
Esteben Flores (103 pounds), Chad Lampe (112), Nico Sorenson (119), Harrison Solomon (125), Brandon Velazquez (152) and Lucas Rascon (189) helped the Chargers move into second place in the team standings behind host La Quinta, a defending CIF champ.
“It was a good day,” said DP coach Anthony Califano. “We had a tough time last week at the Mannn Classic, so this was a good one to bounce back.”
