Santa Barbara opened up an 8-0 lead after the first period and cruised to a 16-2 romp over Rosary in a non-league girls water polo game in Anaheim on Wednesday.
Makenzy Fowler scored four goals, Olivia Cusimano had four assists and four steals and freshman Jessica Gaffney collected five steals to pace the Dons to their sixth win in seven matches.
The game was a tuneup for the Newport Holiday Cup, which runs Thursday and Friday at Newport Harbor and Corona del Mar.
The Dons open against Poway at 10:40 a.m. and face a possible matchup with fifth-ranked Laguna Beach later in the day.
