San Marcos was off target in its shooting and dropped a 9-5 decision to Fountain Valley at the Villa Park Tournament on Thursday.
“We did not shoot well,” coach Chuckie Roth said. “We were 5 for 17. We’re having a hard time hitting the back of the cage.”
Hannah Koper scored two goals to lead the Royals (0-2). Goalie Alex Brown had eight saves.
