It’s not all about scoring goals for the Dos Pueblos girls water polo team. The Chargers can play excellent defense, too.
On Friday at Los Alamitos, Chargers Jamie Neushul, Kylie Neushul and Tiera Schroeder each had five steals to help them to a 13-9 non-league victory.
It was 40th straight victory for the three-time defending CIF champions.
Jamie Neushul paced the offense with four goals, while Schroeder, Kodi Hill and Laurel Kistler added two each.
“We played pretty well,” said coach Chris Parrish. “They have some pretty good shooters. They scored nine goals and not a whole lot of teams can do that against us.”
Los Alamitos scored six goals in the first and held to three in the second half.
The Chargers (4-0) return to action on Wednesday with a home match against The Bishops School from La Jolla.
