Three sophomores scored goals to help Carpinteria’s girls soccer team beat Orcutt Academy for its first win of the season on Friday in Santa Maria.
“It was a good little confidence builder,” Carpinteria coach Lucy Carleton said after the 4-0 win.
Carool Guerrero, Cristina Valdez, Lois Stanley and senior Shelby Dunlap scored the goals for the Warriors (1-4-1).
Sally Lam and Kylie Augerot combined for the shutout.
