Bishop Diego’s boys basketball team clustered four players in double digits on Friday, leading the way to a 64-43 victory at Hueneme.
Johnny Diaz led the Cardinals (2-3) with 13 points while Jordan Rincon and Elias Munoz matched each other’s 12. Paul Garcia added 10.
Diaz and Reece Moulton pulled down seven rebounds each for the Cardinals and Munoz grabbed five steals.
The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for Bishop.
“We finally hit some shots, got out into transition to make some easy layups,” said Cardinals head coach Dean Prophet, also happy about his team’s season-low 12 turnovers.
Bishop led the entire game but it wasn’t until a 17-7 fourth quarter that the Cardinals pulled away.
The Cardinals play again on Saturday, hosting Thacher at 5 p.m.
